To the Office and Work as

A Bishop in the Church of God.

The Anglican Church of Barbados  welcomed its 14th Bishop,

The Reverend Michael Bruce St.John Maxwell

at the Cathedral Church of St Michael & All Angels on this cool Monday evening,

  making  the symbolic  knocking thrice  on the  Cathedral’s  door ( as pictured above ) seeking “admission”  for his enthronement . As he answered questions  in the affirmative the door was  opened and he entered  to the fanfare of the trumpeters and thunderous applause by the hundreds of Anglicans, the Governor General of Barbados Dame Sandra Mason, the Chief Justice of Barbados Sir Marston Gibson , Members of Parliament, the diplomatic corps, scores of Priest  from the Anglican Church, and  heads of Churches representing various denominations in Barbados.

     He then sat on his throne and  delivered his first sermon as Bishop.
